In addition to the eagle, a stuffed animal and a marble statue, there is now a painting in the official residence of Prime Minister Bart De Wever (N-VA). The work of the Antwerp painter Frans Vinck replaces a modern work of art that let his predecessor Alexander De Croo hang. “This is not a masterpiece artistically,” the prime minister admits, but it is symbolically important for him.
