Beatboomer Ronald Molendijk and royalty fan Sandra Schuurhof ended up on television in a fight about publishing any bikini photos of Queen Máxima. “59 million euros!”
Some commotion has arisen in Spain about bikini photos of the 19-year-old crown princess Leonor, who ended up on the cover of the Diez Minutos magazine. Also the ladies on the desk of Shownieuws – Dyantha Brooks and Sandra Schuurhof – find it a shame, while the gentlemen at the desk think more nuanced about it.
‘Just like Wendy’
Bart Ettekoven, who led the weekend for years, doesn’t have much trouble with it. “Yes, but that’s just the case. I mean: if Wendy van Dijk is on the beach in Ibiza or Gerard Joling or anyone else or Bridget Maasland, then you will be photographed. That is part of your job, that is your destiny.”
Ronald Molendijk also finds such a bikinifoto not exactly shocking. “We are just people, right? We all come naked on this planet and nine out of ten times you just get rid of it again naked. The law says that you can be photographed on the public road. You can find that annoying …”
Bart: “It’s part of your jobguys! ”
“It isn’t!”
Dyantha generally likes Bart, but she finds this nonsense. “That is absolutely not a part of her job! She is the daughter of a royal couple! That she was photographed in Bikini is absolutely not part of her job.”
Ronald: “I think it’s one big incredibly hypocritical discussion. If you watch social media with you, you see pictures of: look, look, look! Hey, was I ready?!”
Royalty fan Sandra angry: “But not in bikini! And I am not 19!”
‘Comes with the job’
Ronald is pro-bikinifoto. “All the time everyone is horny, if you are 19 you are according to the Adult Act and you just live in a country, the royal family in Spain also costs 5.9 million a year, that depends on the same financial drip, so: IT Comes with the Job.”
Dyantha: “Your explanation makes no sense! The fact that we are on social media with our photos, but if your son is photographed on the beach while he is with a girl perhaps, then that’s ok because his father is on TV?”
Public road
Ronald would not mind. “Then I fear that it is just the case that I live in the Netherlands where it is arranged by law that you are simply photographed on public roads.”
Sandra thinks our Crown Princess Amalia does not have to fear anything. “This is well arranged in the Netherlands, because this is not happening in the Netherlands. That is the media code. If we have Máxima taken tomorrow on the beach or we buy that photo for 50 thousand euros and we will broadcast it, then we can just do it, of course.”
“Then we have a problem, because we get a process on our pants, what I hum you. You just get a process and then the judge may decide whether or not it could be, whether the privacy violation is.”
Public utility
Ronald believes that a bikini photo of Máxima should be possible. “The rule is that it should be in general benefits and I actually think that such a photo should be taken every week.”
Sandra and Dyantha in Koor: “What is the public use then?”
Ronald: “The royal family in the Netherlands costs 59 million a year!”
Sandra angry: “Keep it up! That is why you have no right to chase people and show them in bikini?”
Capitals
Ronald stays there. “Who is talking about hunting? I am talking about the fact that if they use our general money, which we all throw in a game … that also includes something else. They fly in private jets, they have houses, they have capital.”
Sandra: “What is part of that?”
Ronald: “That you are photographed on the beach.”
Sandra: “Also in your bikini?”
Ronald: “I would not know why not, because everyone who sits on a beach in the Netherlands is photographed.”
Decency and mind
The problem of Dyantha and Sandra appears to be mainly with Leonor’s age a little later: 19 years. “You also just have your decency and mind? You don’t want to be on the cover in Bikini as a young girl? While you are just insecure,” says Dyantha.
Ronald: “Well, I know enough magazines where they are on the conveyor belt.”
Sandra: “Well, sorry Ronald!”
Dyantha Pissig: “Yes, but you can come up with anything, Ronald! We are going on. We are just as happy that Ronald is not working at the magazines.”
