The DFB women are still looking for their regular formation. Some were able to recommend themselves to victory against Scotland.
The German national women’s team confidently won the duel in the Nations League against Scotland. The team of national coach Christian Wück celebrated a 4-0 (2-0) success in Dundee on Friday evening. Germany thus climbs back to the top of Group 1, after the Netherlands had previously moved to first place by a 3-0 victory against Austria.
Elisa Sense started with a dream goal (1. minute) before substitute Cora Zicai (56th) and Lea Schüller (59th) increased. Jule Brand forced an own goal in the first half with her cross (40th).
On Tuesday there will be a second leg in Wolfsburg. On the way to the European Championship in Switzerland, Wück and his assistants Saskia Bartusiak and Maren Meinert still have a lot of work. There the German women meet Poland in the first group game on July 4th.
After the failures of the defenders Kathrin Hendrich, Rebecca Knaak and Sara Doorsoun, the 20-year-old Munich woman Franziska Kett gave a convincing DFB debut on the left. Sophia Kleinhernen also moved into the chain of four alongside captain Giulia Gwinn and Janina Minge. Linda Dallmann from FC Bayern played in the ten position from the start. She had last convinced as a Joker and gave playful impulses again this time.
The Scottishers who did not qualify for the European Championship agreed with the national anthem to bagpipes. The German women ran with mourning flora for the recently died ex-European champion Doris Fitschen. You can find the whole game for reading here.
