When De Ronde started in Bruges two years ago, the hotels in Bruges were almost completely full. “That is different now. We notice a restraint and see an occupation of 85 to 90 percent,” says Thirion.
According to Dimitri Thirion, the cause can be found with today’s geopolitical and economic situation. “That causes the restraint among people. That has nothing to do with the round. Our city is still just as beautiful and our hotels are still just as good. So I don’t see what the cause can be.”
