Biathlon overall World Cup winner Sturla Holm Laegreid has completed the Norwegian championships with a title. The best ski hunter of the past season was successful together with his relay colleagues.
At the final relay race of the Norwegian biathlon championships, there was no way past the top favorites from Team Oslo OG Akershus. Isak Frey, Endre Strömsheim, Johannes Dale-Skjevdal and Sturla Holm Laegreid as the final runner grabbed the victory.
The 21-year-old Frey is a freshly baked IBU Cup winner and double European champion (single and season). Endre Strömsheim, 27 years old, crowned the world champion in the mass champion in the mass champion this winter, and he also won gold with the Norwegian season.
Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, at least overall World Cup Drashes from 2023/24, had to hand in his regular place in the first biathlon league, but was allowed to celebrate his comeback on the last two World Cup weekends. After a good fifth place in Pobljuka singles, he even landed on the podium in the sprint of Oslo.
It went much better for relay Olympic champion Sturla Holm Laegreid, who snapped the title of the overall World Cup winner in a gripping duel with biathlon light figure. At the same time, he won the small crystal balls as the best pursuer, the best mass-starter and best single competition.
Special weekend for biathlete Kirkeeide
Despite the exhausting season in the World Cup and IBU Cup, the quartet from Oslo was able to present itself in good shape at the national championships. In the end, the lead over the Buskerud SSK team, which was occupied with relay Olympic champion Vetle Sjastad Christiansen, was just more than ten seconds. Third place went to Oppland SSK, for which Verbjörn Sörum and Sivert Bakken had started.
In the meantime, the three-man season from Ann Kristin Aaland, Karoline Erdal and Maren Kirkeeide prevailed. A perfect weekend came to an end for Kirkeeide, and she had previously won the sprint and the mass start.
