Explanted professional returns to space – and sees red

In Austria, something very bizarre happened in the game Rapid against Salzburg. In the middle of it was a well -known referee.

Curious scene in the Austrian Bundesliga: In the duel between Rapid Vienna and RB Salzburg (0: 2), a decision by referee Alexander Harkam caused a sensation on Sunday-and left complete lack of understanding at the Rapid professional Lukas Grgic.

The midfielder, who was already warned, was replaced in the 69th minute during a treatment break outside the field. Neither grgic itself nor the referee noticed the change. When the game continued, Grgic received the release from the referee to return – and then entered the place again.

Shortly afterwards, however, Harkam interrupted the game: apparently he was informed about his mistake. The consequence did not hit him, but the player-grgic received yellow-red for unauthorized entering the field.

Grgic said to the “Kronen Zeitung” and said that in his opinion the referee “did not have the game under control at all”. The sheet spoke of one of the “most curious yellow-red in Bundesliga history”.

Harkam himself explained to the TV broadcaster Sky that it was a “bad perception”, triggered by a “chain of unhappy circumstances”. Such a scene will hardly repeat itself in this form. In the sense of sport, he spoke out in favor of lifting the automatic game lock against grgic.
