On April 15, 2025, the State of Groningen and Northern Drenthe presented. This is an independent investigation into the cabinet’s measures regarding damage repair and reinforcement in the region. The report also gives an update on progress on the approach to sustainability, the welfare level and the economic perspective in the region.
The presentation takes place in Delfzijl during a meeting where residents, professionals and administrators come together. From that moment the research is also available online. Everyone who is interested is welcome on April 15. During the meeting, attendees can give their opinion about the research and make suggestions to the cabinet.
On this afternoon there are two rounds with different session where visitors can talk to each other about the results of the research. Various speakers are invited to give their perspective, State Secretary Eddie van Marum opens and on behalf of the cabinet, Viceminister President Fleur Agema is also present at the closure.
After the publication, the government collects reactions for eight weeks. Based on this, a formal response is drawn up for the Upper and Lower House. The meeting on April 15 is the starting point of this process.
