Since the introduction of Individual Customization on July 1, 2023, not only employers, but also self-employed people with a recognized work disability can apply for financial support through a support premium. This premium helps them to compensate for additional costs, necessary adjustments to the working environment or loss of return. Recent figures show that 97 West Flemish self-employed people have already used this support premium since the start of the measure until the end of August 2025. Most files belong to self-employed people in the construction sector.
