9 months in prison for animal executioner from Maaseik who threw dog into a canal: man is also on trial for setting his wife on fire

Maaseik resident Michel B. has been sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment by the court in Tongeren-Borgloon, Limburg, for the abuse of his Maltese Sloeber. He threw the dog into the canal in Dilsen-Stokkem. The Maaseiken resident, who is currently in prison, was also given a lifelong ban on keeping animals. The conviction comes before B. has to appear before the court of assizes for setting his wife on fire.
