HERE IS FENERBAHÇE’S EXPLANATION
As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, it is necessary to make a statement about our pre-1959 championships, which have been on the agenda of our previous President, Mr. Aziz Yıldırım and his management, as well as our current board of directors since 2018.
Our 9 championships, which took place in the history of our club, were played by the Turkish Football Federation, and whose championships and legends were engraved in the history of football, were ignored in 1959 with an understanding devoid of rights and law, but this was not fully followed and made exceptions, and was not included in the calculation of the star symbolizing the championships of the clubs.
Our club made an application to the Turkish Football Federation by presenting all official and legal evidence on 6 March 2021 regarding these championships, which the Turkish Football Federation, which was established in 1923, played personally and then ignored (!).
And the response to this application is expected from the new president and management of TFF, based on the fact that ‘continuity in institutions is essential’.
He reminds the Turkish Football Federation about this issue that our club is ready to defend its rights both in the national and international arena; We emphasize that we expect them to evaluate this application within the framework of legal conditions.
During the evaluation process of this issue, we share that we are ready to take any steps in case of any information request or question from our club.
In addition, regarding the Galatasaray Club, which unfortunately makes statements about this issue with an approach that is devoid of rights and law and far from historical facts;
On April 1, 2021, “we invite you to discuss this issue in front of all of Turkey, in any channel or your channel.” He said, “Our invitation is still valid,” making a statement on 9 May 2022. We insisted on our call.
However, we did not receive any response to these calls.
