The record winners of VfL Wolfsburg effortlessly extended their incredible series in the DFB Cup.
The defending champions won the round of 16 against Werder Bremen 5-0 (3-0) on Friday evening (November 24th, 2023) and celebrated their 47th consecutive success in this competition.
Alexandra Popp made the decision early with a brace (4th minute/25th). Ewa Pajor (35′) increased before the break, Vivien Endemann (53′) and Jule Brand (84′) scored after the break.
Not lost since 2013
Wolfsburg has not lost a cup game since the round of 16 in 2013. At that time there was a 0-1 defeat against the eventual cup winners 1. FFC Frankfurt.
