At the start of the 3rd matchday in the women’s Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg presented with a goal festival against Bayer 04 Leverkusen and extended their lead in the table.
On Friday evening (September 29th, 2022), the Wolfsburg team celebrated an impressive 6-1 win against Leverkusen, who had previously tied for second in the table. With the third win in the third game, the doubles winners also extended their lead in the table.
Jill Roord (13′), Ewa Pajor (28′), Lena Oberdorf (56′), Felicitas Rauch (72′) and Sveindis Jonsdottir (74′, 75′) scored the goals for Wolfsburg. In the meantime, Jill Bayings (30th) shortened for the guests from Leverkusen.
FC Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt (4 points each) could be the first pursuers. The Munich team will play at MSV Duisburg on Sunday (4:01 p.m.), Frankfurt will host SV Werder (1:01 p.m.).
