A slow game against Freiburg ends with a win for Unterhaching. Only one person shone in the gray third division game.

In a game with few chances overall, Unterhaching won 1-0 (1-0) against Freiburg II on the 22nd third division matchday. The Hachingers were more dynamic in front of their home crowd, Freiburg II, bottom of the table, remained tired of attacking. The newcomers thus collect three important points, for Freiburg under coach Thomas Stamm there are now twelve games without a win and they remain in the bottom of the table.

Fetsch’s header decides the game

In the first half, Mathias Fetsch from SpVgg was able to head an assist from Skarlatidis into the goal (16th). Encouraged by the first goal, the Hachingers presented themselves faster and more aggressively. Freiburg’s only chance came from Hamadi Al Ghaddiou (37′). He headed the ball just over the goal.

In the second half, the two teams got off to a similarly bland start. It wasn’t until the 74th minute that things got loud again in the Unterhaching sports park. Again, striker Mathias Fetsch was cleverly positioned. The striker caught a corner with his head – but it landed on the post. In the 84th minute, Freiburg was worried about keeper Benjamin Uphoff, who had to be treated but was back on his feet a short time later.
