An employment agency from Oosterhout and companies in, among others, Someren and Tilburg have been fined 330,000 euros from the Labor Inspectorate. The employment agency helped Derdelanders in work while they were not allowed to work in the Netherlands. During a check from the Labor Inspectorate, eleven Derdelanders were working at companies in Someren, Tilburg and Dordrecht.
A Polish company, which helped to let Derdelanders from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine work in the Netherlands, was also responsible for part of the amount.
Unpaid wage
The employment agency should have applied for the right permits for the eleven employees, but did not. The company from Oosterhout also paid too little to the Derdelanders. After the intervention of the Labor Inspectorate, a supplementary payment followed. The Polish company still has to pay a lot of unpaid wages.
The employment agency and one of the companies where the Derdelanders worked illegally went wrong earlier. If this happens again, the Labor Inspectorate stops the companies.
