On Saturday (June 7th, 2025) John Legend gave an exclusive concert in the Olympic Hall Munich – his only appearance in Germany as part of the current tour. The hall, which holds up to 15,000 spectators, was only sparsely visited with around 3,300 guests. Despite black curtains for the visual reduction of the empty areas, the vacant ranks remained clearly visible.
Artist expresses himself positively about the city
In the run -up to the event, John Legend commented on Munich. The 46-year-old musician told the German press agency: “I love Munich. We have been here several times and always had a good time.” According to Legend, the review of his musical career is associated with positive memories. He has not listed some pieces of his repertoire for a long time.
Concert as a review of 20 years of career
The concert also served as a review of the American career to date, which has been on international stages for two decades. Legend presented a selection of well -known songs from different creative phases.
Finally, he played his most successful ballad “All of Me”. The total playing time was around two hours.

During the show, legend reminded of people who accompanied him in the course of his career – including Kanye West, whose label was under contract at the beginning of his career. After isolated boos in the audience, Legend only commented: “Yes, it is complicated.”
With the note “We miss the old Kanye”, he made a factual distance to the current public perception of his former colleague.
Event conclusion
Despite the small number of visitors, the concert evening was technically and organizationally smoothly. However, the low capacity utilization of the Olympic Hall raises questions about the demand for individual international tour concerts in Germany. John Legend was unaffected and experienced his appearance routinely.
