3 gold medal successes from Bengisu Avcı at the International Ice Swimming Championship! – Last minute Swimming news

According to the statement made by Bengisu Avcı Communications Office, Bengisu first took the first place in the 1000 meters in water below 5 degrees in the championship in which 256 athletes from 19 countries participated.

On the second day of the organization, Bengisu managed to get to the first step of the 100-meter breaststroke again, and in the 4×50 meters, she left her opponents behind with the team consisting of Egor Tropeano, İrem Damar and Berker Göker and received the gold medal.

Avcı, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they successfully left a very difficult championship behind.

Avcı stated that it was very difficult to compete in the icy waters of Europe after training in warm waters such as the Aegean and Marmara, and said:

“We are doing very serious training to break the disadvantage against our competitors. Thanks to our cold water camp in Çanakkale, we have accustomed our body to swimming in extreme cold temperatures below 5 degrees. We are very happy to see that our training has yielded results. We are doing well before the Ice World Championships to be held in Molveno, Italy in January. “We went through a competitive process and achieved good results.”
