The success of Plopsaland resulted in major investments. In 2015, for example, the indoor playground around Maya opened the bee. That same year, Plopsaqua was also opened, a swimming paradise that attracted both park visitors and sports clubs.
In addition, Plopsa also wanted to continue to attract visitors in the winter. The Plopsatheater, which was inaugurated in 2016, offered a stage for summer shows and events such as the Miss Belgium election. The latter made the news in 2023 due to a thwarted attack.
Another key moment was the opening of the Plopsa Hotel in 2021. The first plans for a hotel were already popping up in 2008, but it finally took until the Coronaper period before it became reality. This year a new expansion is being added: in April a holiday park with houses will open completely in Plopsa style.
