While the betting investigation in Turkish football was continuing, another breaking development took place. 22 referees, 2 of whom were upper class, who were found to be betting, were referred to PFDK. TFF’s statement is as follows…
‘Apart from the 152 referees who were referred to the PFDK on 28.10.2025 within the scope of the betting investigation carried out by the Turkish Football Federation, it has been decided that the following referees who were found to be betting within the scope of the additional investigation carried out in line with the new documents received by our Federation will be referred to the PFDK as a precautionary measure as of 09.12.2025, in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.’
