On the day of the inaugural ceremony there will be curling, skating and ice hockey competitions
On the day of the Opening Ceremony which will officially start Milano Cortina 2026, the qualifying matches for the mixed doubles curling continue and the skating program opens.
At the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium i reigning Olympic champions Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner are expected from the third and fourth matches of the round robin (against Switzerland and Estonia). In the evening, Mosaner will then be the protagonist of the ceremony as standard bearer together with Federica Brignone. Stefania Constantini will read the Olympic Oath.
