A recurring theme during the Parisian Haute Couture weekwhich also becomes the highlight of the catwalk for the Spring-Summer 2026 season. In fact, at the fashion shows that are being staged in the Ville Lumiere, the dream is already reality, thanks to creations as impalpable as clouds, as precious as works of art.

If touching a Couture wedding dress is difficult, looking (and dreaming) costs nothing. The Spring-Summer 2026 Haute Couture fashion shows offer many ideas to the most demanding brides-to-be, looking for a truly particular dress, capable of getting noticed. The designers, in fact, have no doubts: the brides of 2026 are anything but minimal.
Just think of the first wedding dress designed by Jonathan Anderson for Diormaking its Couture debut: a draped one-shoulder dress in optical white, on which 3D petals bloom. The effect, obtained thanks to meticulous workmanship, recalls that of an elegant hydrangea Annabellewhich blooms on the lobes of the chosen top model, Mona Tougaard – a detail that dialogues with the historical memory of the Maison, if you think of the camellia-earrings recreated by Karl Lagerfeld for spring 1992. A fairytale creation which, one can swear, is destined to go down in history. But Anderson isn’t the only one looking to the botanical world for the dress of the big day: brilliant flower decorations also adorn the bustier-cut silhouettes (another trend in “beautiful” view) by Tamara Ralph and Rizman Ruzaini, confirming how flowers and shrubs continue to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration for bridal high fashion.
Clothes (and trends) that seem like they came out of a fairy tale
Natural, of course, but also oriental. The wedding dress faces Eastfocusing on the contamination of silhouettes and styles: like the classic Chanel wedding suit by Matthieu Blazywhich closes the Spring-Summer 2026 Haute Couture show, just as Karl Lagerfeld liked it. Dressed by the Indian model who has now become the protagonist of the Maison’s fashion shows, Bhavitha Mandava, perfect for interpreting the particular workmanship of the jacket-skirt ensemble: a cascade of pearly sequins with an elongated shape, which recall the craftsmanship of distant worlds.

The same effect, rendered with different applications, appears on Georges Hobeika’s vintage wedding dress: a Victorian-style A-line garment covered, however, with a cascade of tubular beads. And what about the golden and sumptuous embroideries with an oriental flavor by Elie Saab and the marries Armani PrivéThat she wears a diva dress covered in crystals forming precious Chinese fans? A curiosity: the wedding dress worn by King George’s favorite model, Agnese Zogla, bears the designer’s signature. In fact, it is a tribute/quote to the uncle desired by his niece Silvana, who designed the rest of the collection entirely alone for the first time.
Wedding dresses 2026: watchword, “accessorize”
Flowers, exoticisms, details. The trend according to Couture for Spring-Summer 2026 wedding dresses is to aim for the maximum exaltation of the motifs, not only thanks to the decorations, but also to coordinated and combined accessories.

The cloak, first and foremostbig trend of the year also in ready-to-wear: capes with the same embroidery or in the same style as the wedding dress appear in place of the traditional veil (Julie De Libran); inevitable among the accessories, the lace glove, long or short, also seen at Giorgio Armani Privé, the decorated headband or hair band (Novague), even the regal hat (Fioletowy).
Just to underline the concept that on the big day, everything (and even more) is allowed.
