Formula 1 announced the racing calendar of the 2026 season. The season will start with the Australian Grand Prix on March 6-8 and will end in Abu Dhabi on December 4-6. One of the innovations that attract attention in the calendar consisting of a total of 24 races is that Madrid, the Spanish capital, will host Formula 1 for the first time. The Madrid Grand Prix, which will be held on September 11-13, will replace the Emilia-Roman (Imola) Grand Prix in Italy.

With the addition of Madrid to the calendar, two races will be held for the first time in Spain: the traditional Barcelona race will be held on June 12-14. Madrid Grand Prix will be the last leg of the uninterrupted racing series in Europe.

Another significant change in the calendar is that the Canadian Grand Prix is being included in May 22-24. Thus, Canada will be held on May 1-3 after the Miami GP and the logistics between the two races will be made more efficient. This change affected the location of the Monaco Grand Prix and shifted it to June 5-7.

The 2026 season was held in parallel with the sustainability targets of Formula 1 to reduce carbon emissions. Within the scope of new engine rules, vehicles will work with sustainable fuel. The European leg will progress uninterruptedly starting from Monaco and end in Madrid, and then the intercontinental tours will begin with Azerbaijan GP on September 25-27.

The Dutch GP will be held in Zandvoort for the last time on the calendar. This race, which will be held between 21-23 August, will represent the farewell of the Netherlands in the F1 calendar.

The end of the season will be shaped by two critical trio consisting of three races in a row: USA-Mexico-Brazil and then Las Vegas-Katar-Abu Dhabi.
