TSV 1860 Munich has found a new coach. On Thursday evening, the third division team presented Markus Kauczinski as the successor to Patrick Glöckner, who recently had to leave office after a total of 28 games. The ambitious Lions are in 13th place after ten match days and have not won in the last five games.
“During my previous positions, I was able to get to know the work in large, traditional clubs. I’m now really looking forward to the task at TSV 1860 Munich. When we start training together on Monday, it’s important to work out the team’s strengths and send them into the home game against MSV Duisburg full of self-confidence and well prepared,” Kauczinski is quoted as saying. The 55-year-old was last on the sidelines at SV Wehen Wiesbaden until April 2024. 1860 Munich is his sixth stop in the professional sector, where he accompanied, among other things, 129 games in the 3rd league.
“I am very pleased that, after intensive coordination with both shareholders, we can present a new head coach who is recognized by everyone involved as the best person for TSV 1860 Munich. Markus has proven in the past that he has all the skills to work successfully with our team. We are pleased that he has chosen the job with the Lions and wish him every success,” said managing director Manfred Paula, who is his Position held on an interim basis.
