On Saturday night, a plainclothes police officer in Kreuzberg was threatened with a knife by a 17-year-old.
According to the police, civilian emergency services to combat street crime were on the road at around 2 a.m. on Adalbertstrasse/Oranienstrasse. One of the police officers was approached by a 17-year-old accompanied by four other males.
According to police, the youth, for no apparent reason, attempted a physical altercation and suddenly pulled a closed knife from his back.
According to the information, the police officer then identified himself as such and drew his service weapon. When other forces in uniform approached, the group fled in the direction of the subway station. There they tried to board the subway in the direction of Warschauer Strasse – but the police prevented them from doing so.
The 17-year-old still held the knife in his hand. Only when another police officer threatened with his gun did he throw the knife away.
The 17-year-old was arrested and treated for identification at a police station. An alcohol measurement showed a value of about 0.7 per mille.
