A police officer was assaulted on Friday evening in the center of Tilburg when he tried to arrest two suspects for robbery. One of the suspects was immediately arrested. The other suspects fled after he threw something in the officer’s face.
The boys aged 14 and 15 were on the run after they robbed a man of his telephone on Pieter Vreedeplein. An officer stopped the boys in Willem || Street. When the officer got off his bike, one of the boys threw something in his face and then ran away.
The 14-year-old suspects were immediately handcuffed. The stolen phone was also found there. The 15-year-old boy from Tilburg was arrested at his home on Saturday morning. The officer has injuries to his face and is reporting the 15-year-old boy.
