On Wednesday, the justice department demanded sixteen and fourteen years in prison for two men for the fatal shooting at a camp on the Heezerweg in Eindhoven in July 2023. It has never become clear who fired the fatal shot, but the justice department doesn’t really care. Both men committed a rip deal with a firearm and therefore they are both responsible for the death of 34-year-old Fouad from Utrecht, the justice department finds.
Misha ‘Pablo’ W. (27) from Eindhoven and Alireza B. (31) from Geldrop did not move a muscle when the public prosecutor made these strict demands on Wednesday morning. They probably saw it coming that the justice system would not be lenient. And that’s not surprising when you look at all the facts.
Both men appeared to be involved in thefts and arms and drug trafficking. And when the payment of 14,000 euros for a stolen Audi RS6, which was used as a getaway car in six bombings, was not forthcoming, they decided on July 10, 2023 to buy weed from Fouad and pay for it with fake money. This is how they wanted to pay off the outstanding debt.
The men could have imagined that Fouad el J. would not simply agree to this and that an argument could arise about it, the officer thought. It was not without reason that they took a firearm with them, Misha W admitted. They did so for their own safety, because in addition to Fouad’s reaction, they could not predict whether the Utrecht drug dealer would come alone or with several people.
Naturally, a fight broke out at the remote camp on the Heezerweg, where they had met for the deal. Fouad was not impressed by Misha and Ali’s arguments, but at some point one of the two may have pulled a gun and Fouad fled in his own Mini Cooper. However, he did not get far, as he was soon shot through the heart through his back and died on the spot.
From the moment in the car, the justice department no longer knows exactly how it happened. Both men state that the other shot, but of course that cannot both be true. Justice sees that Misha W. has given the most clear and logical explanation and that the verbose Iranian Alireza always came up with different explanations. But that doesn’t mean anything either.
And gunpowder traces mean nothing and the same applies to the fact that Alireza had his clothes, his phone and his car disappeared and was caught in Germany with a one-way ticket to Tehran in his pocket. Misha W. made it even worse by disappearing completely. He was missing for more than a year and was apparently in Bosnia for a long time, but was finally caught in August 2024 when he was staying with a woman with children in Hoogerheide. The arrest team that fired shots during the raid found a heavy automatic weapon in Misha’s bedroom.

The fatal shot was fired from a 9mm pistol. And that gun was purchased by Misha in the months before Fouad’s death. But three days before the failed rip deal, Alireza swooped in video by rapper Parsa with that gun. So the judiciary no longer knows who was in possession of that weapon when it was shot at Fouad on the Heezerweg.
What became clear is that Alireza also lied about this. He didn’t know about a gun and he didn’t know about a rip deal or weed. But the weapon is clearly visible on the screen and chats show that Alireza also negotiated with Fouad from Utrecht about weed and that Misha later took over that conversation.

So they wanted to pay for that weed with three packs of fake money, poker money, so it was said. They supposedly had a customer in Venlo who needed that weed very quickly and they said they were in a hurry. Then Fouad would probably not count that money, which was thickly wrapped in cling film, on the spot in the chaos.
But things turned out differently. And the firearm was used. By whom, justice doesn’t really matter. According to prosecutors, both men devised the rip deal together to get their money. That plan also included the firearm and then you know that that could also go wrong, the officer thought.
So they are both responsible for the manslaughter of Fouad. Alireza heard a demand for fourteen years and Misha for sixteen years. The requirement was higher for him because he has a longer criminal record. That after Fouad’s death a heavy automatic firearm had in his bedroom, the officer called it ‘shocking’.
Strangely enough, Alireza B. is free. The court decided this a long time ago when it was still unclear where Misha W. was. Now the officer demanded that Alireza be taken to prison immediately after the verdict. If he is convicted, of course.
The verdict in this case is on February 11.
