The sporting goods retailer 11Teamsports Group and the German Football Association (DFB) have extended their license partnership, which has existed since 2019. 11Teamsports now holds “the global production and distribution rights to the name and numbering for the German men’s and women’s national teams” until 2026, according to a statement published on Monday.
As part of the agreement, the sporting goods retailer remains the exclusive partner for the finishing of replica jerseys for the DFB teams with individual back numbers and name prints. The company has developed its own security process to make such flocking counterfeit-proof.
“The global distribution of the DFB products takes place purely digitally via the multilingual B2B platform name&numbering.com from 11Teamsports,” explained the sporting goods retailer. “Authorized resellers can register here and order the Name & Numbering products via the digital booking process.” In addition, the 11Teamsports Group remains “leading within the framework of the partnership in the creation and selection of the font for the shirt numbers”.
Björn Endter, General Manager Sports Licensing & Merchandising of the 11 Teamsports Group, welcomed the continuation of the cooperation: “We are very pleased that we can start the next round with the DFB,” he said in a statement. “The long-term extension shows the confidence of the DFB in the work of 11Teamsports as the existing contractual partner in the area of name & numbering.”
