An accident happened on the Nieuwe Hescheweg in Oss this evening. A motorist wanted to overtake a microcar around 8.35 pm near Benedictuslaan, but overlooked a traffic island. The man was launched through the traffic island and eventually came to a stop about 100 meters away. His car was badly damaged and lost a lot of oil.
The police, fire brigade and ambulance service rushed out, but fortunately there were no injuries. The fire brigade has degreased and sprayed the oil-smeared road surface. A recovery company arrived on site to dispose of the car. The road between Oss and Heesch was closed to traffic for some time.
