A day of canoeing ended unpleasantly for a family in Valkenswaard on Saturday afternoon when a thief took off with their car. And that wasn’t the worst: two minor children were still in the backseat at the time. Probably also to the horror of the thief, who abandoned the Toyota about 16 kilometers away and fled.
It all happened yesterday afternoon. The family was busy securing the canoes onto the trailer when the brazen thief got in and made off with them. Then he probably quickly discovered that he was not alone.
