112 news: dog rescued from burning house • shoplifter runs towards police

A dog was rescued from the house last night in a kitchen fire at the Europalaan in Nuenen. Part of the house burned down. The report came in around 11:30 a.m. last night. According to a 112 correspondent, people who happened to pass by on their bicycles discovered the fire when they heard the fire alarm go off and called 112.

When firefighters arrived, flames were already shooting out the back of the house. An ambulance was also called because it was not clear whether anyone was in the house. The residents were on holiday, the children of the parents were at home but had just left the house. According to the fire service, the fire was caused by a pan on the fire.
