Last night, the Peelland police received four reports about fake officers in various neighborhoods in Helmond.
In all cases, victims were called by an anonymous number on their landline. They were told that there had been a burglary somewhere and that a suspect with a firearm had been arrested. The victims were then asked if they had valuable jewelry or a safe.
The victims did not trust the story and immediately called the real police. “We don’t ask for your valuables,” he warns.
