A 31-year-old man from Eindhoven drowned in a swimming pool in Lommel, Belgium last night. Belgian media report this. According to NOS, the swimming pool was rented by the local Al-Fourkaan mosque. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the man was said to have played volleyball in shallow water, after which he probably became unwell. The Eindhoven resident, who was there with friends, was found a little later at the bottom of that pool.
The emergency services resuscitated the man, but to no avail. The police investigated the drowning. A doctor would have determined that there was no crime.
