The police arrested a burglar on Opwettenseweg Nuenen who was trying to enter a house. He had smashed a window and was standing in a gutter when local residents saw him. After a manhunt in the neighborhood, the police literally tracked down the man. He had left footprints in the fresh snow. Ultimately, the officers found the burglar in a hallway. Because the man had broken his leg in the fall, he could not move anywhere.
Nuenen has been dealing with a wave of burglaries since December. The police therefore turned out en masse.
