The driver of the truck that ran off the road earlier this morning and ended up in the verge next to the A73 is said to have become unwell. That’s what the police at the scene of the accident let know. After going off the road, the truck continued for a few tens of meters into the verge. eventually the truck ended up on its side.
The driver eventually managed to get out of his cab. He was taken to hospital for a check-up. The accident site is now protected. Traffic can just pass by. The truck will not be recovered until tonight. This is to hinder traffic as little as possible.
