Two days before the start, Jonasrutsch has been nominated for the 109th Tour de France.
The EF Education-EasyPost team announced that the 24-year-old Hesse was part of the eight-strong squad. This increases the number of German tour starters to nine riders. There have not been that few in the past 20 years. The tour starts on Friday in Copenhagen with an individual time trial over 13.2 kilometers.
Chute made his debut at the Tour of France last year. Last Sunday, the all-rounder took fifth place at the German Championships in Sauerland, two days earlier he had finished fourth in the time trial.
The vonrutsch team is hoping for a good place in the overall standings with the Colombian Rigoberto Uran, as well as stage victories from breakaway groups.
