The announcement of the new price of the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription package caused confusion.
Microsoft has quietly raised the price of its Microsoft 365 Personal subscription package. Subscribers of the service were shocked when they received a notice from the software giant about the price increase.
From the screenshots sent to Iltalehti’s editors, it appears that the price increase is apparently greater than expected.
Previously, the service cost 7 euros per month. However, in the notice presented to subscribers, it is stated that after February 20, 2025, the new price of the subscription will be 1,000 euros per month.
A quick visit to Microsoft’s website reveals that it is actually a comma error. The new monthly price of Microsoft 365 Personal is already 10 euros per month, apparently old subscribers will be able to use the service for a little while longer at a slightly cheaper price.
The Microsoft 365 Personal package includes, among other things, one terabyte of cloud storage space and more advanced features of Word, Excel, Onenote and Powerpoint.
