10 tips for a successful Father’s Day – without a handcart

Aside from handcart parades, there are numerous events on Ascension Day where fathers and gentlemen can celebrate their day. BZ has put together ten fun activities for the holiday.

Drinking wine on Rüdesheimer Platz

Shortly before Ascension Day, the popular wine fountain on Rüdesheimer Platz started its season. From 3 p.m., visitors will be spoiled with wine and sparkling wine by winegrowers from the Rheinhau-Taunus district. Families have been meeting on the plateau above the Siegfried Fountain for 50 years. Picnics are also popular in the neighboring park.

Knight’s festival at the Britz estate

With a medieval atmosphere and music, visitors can stroll through a craft market and green market and taste regional delicacies. A children’s program is planned for young guests.

Classics by soul legends such as James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Steve Wonder can be heard on the Alex on the holiday. Food stands will take care of your physical well-being.

Staaken folk and children’s festival

The 71st children’s and folk festival started on May 17th in Staaken. From 3 p.m. there are carousels, cotton candy, cold beer and live music for everyone.

Mission Possible 2046

During the walk through the government district, original sites of democracy are visited during a guided tour and a fictional audio tour takes you into the year 2046.

Henningsdorf beer market

If you don’t want to go without beer that day, you can sip regional and international beers at the beer market in Hennigsdorf. In addition to the liquid bread, there is a street food offer and live music.
