In the searches carried out, a large quantity of gold jewelry, watches, gold and historical coins valued at more than 80,000 euros, 15 mobile phones, approximately 21,000 euros in cash, two precision scales to weigh gold, electronic devices and several high-end vehicles.

The detainees are charged with the crimes of belonging to a criminal group and money laundering, and 16 crimes of robbery with force and violence that occurred in Burriana and nearby towns.

The investigations have lasted more than four months and they have obtained proof and evidence of the existence of this criminal group that coordinated to commit the robberies with force and violence.

The ‘modus operandi’

As explained by the same sources, during the day, those now detained They marked the doors of homes with “white pieces of paper” to know the routines of the inhabitants, and during the night, by climbing, they broke doors and windows of the roofs of the houses, searched the dependencies, forced the safes and took, in most cases, cash, jewelry, watches and small items they found.

The detainees and the proceedings were handed over to the Investigating Court number 3 of Vila-real, which sentenced four of the detainees to prison, according to the Civil Guard.
