The 1. FC Köln has committed its first new addition to the upcoming Bundesliga season with Ragnar Ache. On Tuesday evening, the Domstädter presented the 26 -year -old striker, who had been under contract with 1st FC Kaiserslautern for two years. “For our squad planning, the occupation of this position was a central goal,” said Cologne sports director Thomas Kessler.
“When the call from 1. FC Köln came, I just thought: horny,” said Ache in a message from the FC. “Now I am really happy that my move to Cologne worked and can hardly wait to play here in the RheinEnergieStadion. In my last game for Kaiserslautern, I was already able to experience this incredible mood of the Cologne fans, now I want to stand here for FC – and hopefully often show my goal celebration.”
