The 1. FC Köln is the football club from the cathedral city. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “billy goats”.

U21 national coach Antonio di Salvo has nominated the FC professionals Eric Martel and Jan Thielmann for the upcoming caps in Slovakia (March 21) and against Spain (March 25). The EM year begins with the two test areas for the oldest youth team of the DFB.

For Martel and Thielmann, the trip to the national team means a reunion with a former teammate: Jonas Urbig, switched from Cologne to FC Bayern Munich in winter, is also nominated. With Bright Arrey-MBI (SC Braga) and Jens Castrop (1. FC Nürnberg), two other ex-FC players are part of the squad.

The 1st FC Köln can plan again with Tim Lemperle (after muscle injury) and Eric Martel (according to infection) during the home game against SV Darmstadt on Saturday evening. According to trainer Gerhard Struber, both top performers are to return to the cuckel of the billy goats.

Struber says about striker Lemperle, who missed a total of ten competitive games: “It is the case that we have Tim available at the weekend for some stress.” While Lemperle should initially come from the bank as a joker, Martel is a hot candidate for the starting eleven.

FC has to do without Mark Uth, who only started team training on Thursday after a week’s break, the injured Damion Downs and Linton Maina as well as Luca Kilian, Julian Pauli and Jacob Christensen, who are still in rehabilitation training.

With Marvin Obuz and 1. FC Köln, the signs are on separation after 16 years – should the own plant not get its chances in the remaining weeks of the season. After 25 second division match days, the 23-year-old has a maximum balance of a supplementary player with only five missions.

“If you realize how little time the day has received and look at the big problems of FC on the offensive, that’s very disappointing. The boy has never had a real chance to show what he can do,” Obuz ‘consultant Dirk Hebel pulls a disappointed intermediate conclusion to the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger”. “If everything stays the way it is, then you have to say that it will no longer make sense. Then Marvin will leave his home club. And that would be disappointing,” added Lebel with a view of Obuz ‘June 30th.

The 1. FC Köln took on the next home game against SV Darmstadt 98 on Tuesday. The personnel situation has not improved noticeably over the weekend. Mark Uth and Eric Martel, who both missed the game in Ulm due to illness, were also missing in the first unity of the week.

For this, Learst Pacarada and Dominique Heintz were able to train normally with the team again after their infections. Damion Downs meanwhile operated on the hand on Tuesday after having a break against the Karlsruher SC a week ago. The attacker will also miss the upcoming game against the lilies.

For the FC fans, the training on Tuesday was the only opportunity this week to see Gerhard Struber’s team live. In other words, the FC is still different on Wednesday and will train until the upcoming home game to the exclusion of the public.
