Imad Rondic (26) didn’t play a big role at 1. FC Köln in the 2nd Bundesliga, and things aren’t going well at loan club Raków Czestochowa either. Now, according to reports, the Bosnian wants to break up his camp in Poland and try again in the German lower house. However, it is uncertain whether this is promising given the center forward’s salary. This plan had already failed in the summer.

Rondic only made four starting eleven appearances in the league for the Polish first division club. The Cologne loanee was unable to score a goal either in games from the start or in his 15 substitute appearances in the championship, the Conference League and the cup. With little more than 400 minutes of play, he didn’t even go beyond the already meager playing time in the second half of Cologne’s promotion season so far this season. At that time he came from Widzew Lodz with great expectations (nine goals in the first half of the 24/25 season). But even a return to the Polish league did not bring the hoped-for remedy.

Now reports the “Goat blog” with reference to our own information that Rondic wants to leave again. The “Sport” portal had previously reported on this. The goal for now is the 2nd Bundesliga, without a club having yet opened there. It is also not yet known whether the Cologne-based company is ready to start looking for a buyer again.

A sticking point here could be Rondic’s salary, which is 60,000 euros per month. For Raków under the financially strong owner Michal Swierczewski, this was probably less of a problem than it would be for a German second division team. Because of financial issues, a move to Karlsruher SC is said to have failed last summer. The plan failed on deadline day and Rondic went to Poland. “Of course I would have liked the summer to be different for me, but that’s football,” said the attacker as he said goodbye.
