After the 3-2 win at Telstar, Ajax captain Davy Klaassen was not happy with the play of the Amsterdam team in the last half hour. The visitors almost gave away a 3-0 lead against ten men. “I stand here with a dissatisfied feeling,” said the midfielder.
“It was a match with two faces,” Klaassen responded to ESPN. “The first 55, 60 minutes were just fine. We had complete control and gave away almost nothing. What happened next is simply not possible,” he said, referring to the goals conceded after the red card for Telstar player Cedric Hatenboer.
