The Ajax football players defeated PSV 2-1 in front of more than eight thousand spectators in the Johan Cruijff Arena. PSV defender Myrthe Kemper-Moorrees helped Ajax win by clumsily putting the ball into her own goal deep in injury time. Danique Tolhoek scored Ajax’s first goal.
The Amsterdam team is the new leader in the Premier League, with a three-point lead over FC Twente, which has played one game less. PSV now has 4 points less than Ajax.
Trainer Rick Kruys has adjusted his base in one place compared to last week (Feyenoord-away 3-1). Robin van Cruijsen returns to the team after a short injury period. This is at the expense of Silvinho Esajas who is on the bench. Ozan Kökcü is also on the bench. He is fit again after an injury.
