The best tennis professionals in the world divide as early as rarely in Wimbledon. There are even records, and Coco Gauff and Alexander Zverev, for example.
As soon as the tournament started, half of the matches have already been played. This brings the mode with it. If 128 players and 128 players compete in the individual competitions, then 128 tennis professionals will end after the first round.
So that the best players do not meet in the first rounds, the seed lists exist. A quarter, i.e. 32 players each and 32 players, are set. In Wimbledon it used to be the case that the skills on lawn also played a role. In the meantime, as usual with other tournaments, the world rankings are set.
Historical results
Anyone who counts after the first rounds at the Grand Slam tournament in London comes up with historical results. In men, 13 players were eliminated, which was previously only available at the Australian Open 2004.
Of the ten top seed professionals, eight are already out, which has never been in Wimbledon before.
In both individual competitions it hit number three in the seed list. In the men Alexander Zverev, for women Jessica Pegula, who had won the final against IGA Swiatek a week earlier at the Rason tournament in Bad Homburg.

Other players set on the lawn scolded the lawn in Wimbledon, some on the balls, others blamed the heat on the first two days.
At Zverev it was a difficult phase of life that he blamed for the early end. There are many reasons why so many professionals have left or had a great effort (Taylor Fritz, Carlos Alcaraz). The top seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner each won without loss of sets.
