Alexander Zverev reached the semifinals at the Masters in Miami, making his next duel with top star Jannik Sinner perfect.
The Hamburger won 6:1, 6:2 against the Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo (No. 18 in the world rankings) in just 65 minutes of play and will now face Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals.
Zverev recently lost 2:6, 4:6 without a chance against the Italian world number two in the semifinals in Indian Wells.
Fourth win against Cerundolo
“I just felt good”said Zverev, who celebrated his fourth win in a row against Cerundolo: “I’ve been talking all year about trying to play more aggressively. I feel like it worked out perfectly today.”
Thanks to the success, the Tokyo Olympic champion reached the semi-finals in both Indian Wells and Miami in the same season for the first time ever.
