The CEO (CEO) of Meta Platforms, Mark Zuckerberg, has advanced the prototype of a bracelet that uses a neural interface and an electromyography sensor (EMG) to control smart glasses and other devices.

Facebook and the multinational specialized in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses, EssilorLuxottica, announced a partnership to create smart glasses on September 16, 2020.

The Ray-Ban Stories they are the first fruit of that collaboration that, now, is preparing to host a new device. The CEO of Meta Platforms, Mark Zuckerberg, has advanced on his Facebook profile what is to come.

Zuckerberg has visited Milan (Italy) to plan with the founder and president of EssilorLuxottica, Leonardo del Vecchioin addition to the rest of the team, some new smart glasses that they will design together.

The CEO of Meta has also shared a first image of a bracelet prototype that, thanks to a neural interface and a emg sensor -which detects the electrical signals of muscle activity- will allow the user to control both their smart glasses and other compatible devices in the future.
