Zoe Wees releases new single “Daddy’s Eyes”

The Hamburg singer-songwriter Zoe Wees released her new single “Daddy’s Eyes” on Friday. The music video for the song has also been available on YouTube since 1 p.m.

“Daddy’s Eyes” is a very personal song in which Wees sings about her absent father. “My father was never there for my mother and me. I met him once in my life and found that my eyes look just like his,” says the 20-year-old, accusing in the song: “I don’t wanna cry these tears with my daddy’s eyes. I don’t need you, Daddy!”

In November, Wees continues her EU tour, making four stops in Germany. At the end of November it can be seen in Stuttgart, Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg. Wees can also be seen on the Alternative Stage at Lollapalooza Festval in Berlin on Saturday, September 24 at 6:15 p.m.

Zoe Wees’ debut single “Control”, released in 2020, also had international success with 1.1 billion streams. The other singles “Girls Like Us” and “Ghost” as well as the debut EP “Golden Wings” followed in 2021.
