Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimović was on a roll when he made headlines as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show.
Kimmel asked Ibrahimović about, among other things, his new laundry. Ibrahimović, 44, works as an expert on the World Cup for Fox in the United States.
Kimmel inquired whether Ibrahimović will be compensated for his TV duties.
– Yes, very much. I’m not a free guy. I’m not expensive, I’m really expensive, Ibrahimović uploaded in his colorful style.
– When others sit down and share their analyses, people fall asleep standing up. I will wake them up! Ibrahimović uploaded.
Revelation
Ibrahimović also told a story from the past years about when he was a teammate of football icon David Beckham in Paris.
Ibrahimović recalled the time when Beckham had to present himself in front of his new team.
– We did that through songs. It had to be sung during the presentation, Ibrahimović said.
Beckham wasn’t keen on the idea.
– He told me that “Zlatan, I don’t… forget it”, Ibrahimović started.
– I told him that “no, you have to”.
According to Ibrahimović, Beckham agreed to a singing session a few days later.
– He got up and said: ‘Help me.’ Then he started singing the English national anthem! Ibrahimović laughed.
– I looked at him and said I can’t sing it. His face turned red – he didn’t feel confident at all at that moment. But that’s how you present yourself to others.
– I can say that he can’t sing, Ibrahimović continued to grin.
