Zelensky’s wife: “Without Western help, Ukrainians are in danger of death” | Abroad

If Western countries do not continue their financial support to Ukraine in the war against Russia, they will plunge the Ukrainians into “mortal danger.” Olena Zelenska, wife of President Volodymyr Zelensky, said this in an interview with the British broadcaster BBC.

“We really need the help,” Zelenska said. “Simply put, we cannot get tired of the situation. If that happens, we die. And when the world gets tired of it, they will simply let us die.” Zelensky said a few days ago that Russian President Vladimir Putin is counting on “the collapse” of Western support for Ukraine.

Republicans in the US Congress blocked an important bill earlier this week. This would free up more than 60 billion dollars (almost 56 billion euros) in additional aid for Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden noted that it is “completely insane not to support Ukraine.” The White House warned that money to support Ukraine would run out in December.
