Zaterdag uitvaart van Gents Open Vld-kopstuk Geert Versnick (68) in Lochristi

Oud-politicus en trotse Gentenaar Geert Versnick (68) was born in the crematorium Westlede in the Oost-Vlaamse Lochristi. Versnick overleed zaterdagavond aan longvlieskanker. There was a big impression in Ghent: as a liberal, as a leader of the OCMW and as a politician, the very first wetsvoorstel for the homohuwelijk indiende.
