THEthe album you don’t expect is called Pastiche. And they did surprisingly Checco Zalone and Francesco De Gregori. It’s about a covers album out April 12th anticipated by the single (written for the occasion) Right or wrong. In the tracklist (with Gregori on vocals and Zalone on piano), in addition to many of Francesco’s successes there are also two songs by Zalone and other great authors of Italian music.

Recorded at various times between 2023 and 2024, Pastiche It is composed of 15 songs ranging from the repertoire of the best Italian music. In addition to the songs by De Gregori there are in fact songs by Paolo Conte, Pino Daniele, Antonello Venditti. To some successes of singer-songwriter Zalone as The first Republic And Alejandro. The album is preceded by the unreleased song Right or wrongwritten by De Gregori and Zalone.
De Gregori – who had already hosted Checco Zalone in some concerts in the past – declared: «I have always been a fan of Checco as a film authorwe have been friends for many years and I couldn’t wait to have him around as a musician in this strange and beautiful adventure.”
The concert in Rome next June
The unreleased duo also has one concert scheduled, just one, no tour: at Baths of Caracalla in Rome next June 5 – here is the link to purchase the ticket. Together with them, also the band that recorded the album with them, the Orchestra Italiana del Cinemathe first and only Italian symphonic ensemble dedicated tointerpretation of film music.
